School warns parents after schoolgirls skirt lifted up
Police are investigating after a teenage girl's skirt was allegedly lifted up from behind by a man in his 50s while she was on her way to school.
Leicestershire Police has confirmed it is investigating the incident, which allegedly happened at 8.23am on Monday in Loughborough Road, Shepshed.
A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said:
She added that the Shepshed beat team was aware of the report and would be carrying out increased patrols in the area.
A nearby school has sent out a warning to parents, urging them to ensure pupils take care on their way to and from school.
The text, sent by Iveshead High School, read: “In light of an incident yesterday all students are reminded to be vigilant on their way to and from school, and report anything immediately. Thank you. Iveshead School.”
