Police hunt car-jacker who stabbed man on busy street
Detectives are hunting a robber who stabbed a man before stealing his car in Birmingham on Friday night.
Police were alerted by ambulance colleagues at 7.45pm to a man who’d suffered a serious chest wound in Bunbury Road, Northfield (20 October).
It’s understood the 31-year-old man, from Bromsgrove, had walked to his car and was about to pull away when the knifeman pulled open the driver's door and attacked him before driving off in his silver VW Golf GTi.
The victim has been stabilised in hospital where his condition is described as serious but is not feared to be life threatening.
West Midlands Police detectives have launched an investigation to trace the stolen car and the attacker.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the robbery or the car being driven away.
