7-foot python abandoned in Nottingham

The RSPCA are appealing for information after a 7-foot long Burmese python was abandoned in a box in Nottingham.

A member of the public found the snake inside a plastic box with no air-holes on Kentwood Road, in Sneinton, Nottingham on 9 October. They contacted the police and the snake was then taken to the RSPCA's Radcliffe branch.

The snake is now at a specialist exotics vets to be cared for, before it is moved to a rescue centre for rehoming.

The RSPCA's Chief Inspector for Nottingham, Simon Parker, said:
