Thousands of cyclists make pilgrimage for unique service of Remembrance

More than 7,000 motorcyclists will make pilgrimage to the National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, on Saturday (7 October), for the annual Ride to the Wall event.

This unique service of Remembrance is attended by motorcycle enthusiasts across the country and from overseas, all seeking to pay their respects to those who can 'no longer ride by our side'.

Now in its 10th year, Ride to the Wall has already raised more than £600,000 for the Arboretum.

The riders will leave one of 11 designated start points in the morning to ride to the Arboretum. A service of Remembrance will then be held on the Armed Forces Memorial.

There will also be a parachute drop, a flypast of an RAF Squirrel and music from; The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals, Lichfield Gospel Choir, Sincerely Yours, Gari Glaysher, Abigail Carter-Simpson, and Oliver Moriarty.
