Inquest to investigate death of woman struck by timber during Storm Doris
An inquest is to resume into the death of a woman from Stafford who was struck by a section of timber during a storm last February.
University of Wolverhampton worker Tahnie Martin, 29, died after a wooden water tank cover fell from the roof of a building as Storm Doris swept across Britain.
Ms Martin, from Stafford, was pronounced dead near Wolverhampton's Mander Centre shopping mall in February after suffering head injuries.
An inquest lasting up to five days in Oldbury is expected to hear details of weather forecasts warning of flying debris issued before the storm.
A previous hearing was told the section of timber which struck Ms Martin was showing signs of neglect and decay.
The pre-inquest also heard that Wolverhampton Council was investigating whether fixings holding the cover down were subject to a proper schedule of maintenance.
