Woman charged with murder of 7-year-old boy

A woman has been charged with the murder of a seven-year-old boy in Shropshire.

Archie Spriggs was found dead at a house in Rushbury Road in Wall under Heywood on Thursday 21st September.

Lesley Speed, 44, of Rushbury Road, was arrested in connection with the boy's murder on Thursday. West Mercia Police say she was found at the house with significant injuries that required hospital treatment.

She is due to appear at Telford Magistrates Court today (28 September).
