Pig rescued from busy road
A pig has been rescued from a busy road in Shropshire.
Police say they received a number of calls from concerned members of the public who spotted the pig on the A458 in Much Wenlock yesterday (27th September).
Police Community Support Officer Mike Watkins, helped by several people, was able to rescue the Polly the pig and get her to safety. Polly was then confined to a garden. Her owner, who looks after five other pigs, has been contacted.
