BREAKING NEWS: Bodies found after 'murder suicide'

An investigation has been launched after the bodies of a husband and wife were discovered at separate addresses in what’s believed to be a murder-suicide.

Police were alerted by ambulance colleagues to a property in Linforth Drive, Streetly, just after midnight following the discovery of a man’s body.

Around 40 minutes later a woman’s body was found at an address Cofton Park Close, Rednall.

At this stage it’s thought the woman was murdered before the man took his own life in the garden of the Streetly address.

Detectives are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths of both people thought to have been in their 30s.

Forensic post mortem examinationswill now take place.

Both areas have been cordoned off while enquiries continue to establish the circumstances that led to their deaths.
