A teenage British racing driver who lost both of his legs following a crash at Donington Park in Leicester is continuing to make good progress in his recovery.

18-year-old Billy Monger, otherwise known as Billywhizz, was racing in the Formula 4 Championship in April when he was involved in a high-speed collision with a stationary car.

Despite medics' best efforts, the teenager lost both of his lower legs. He was treated at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

In a recent post he took to social media to show his supporters how his positive approach is helping him get back on track.In a Tweet, accompanied by photographs, he said:

His story touched motor sport fans across the world over who have raised £825,000 in his name but Billy also feels the need to give back himself.
