Police launch knife surrender campaign

Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police are launching a four-week long knife surrender campaign aimed at improving safety in the region.

The two forces say anyone can surrender a knife or blade at one of a number of police stations around the region.

The campaign forms part of Operation Sceptre, a national operation to reduce knife crime and the number of families affected by knife crime.

Knife surrender bins will be located at the following police stations:

  • Hereford

  • Kidderminster

  • Leamington Spa

  • Nuneaton

  • Redditch

  • Rugby

  • Shrewsbury

  • Stratford-upon-Avon

  • Telford

  • Worcester
