Police in Staffordshire have pulled over a 15-year-old boy, as he drove his young sister to school in a car on false plates.

The boy was discovered driving the Ford Focus in Stoke-on-Trent with his dad and four-year-old sister in the vehicle and none of them were wearing seatbelts.

Officers pulled over the vehicle during a road safety operation near Mill Hill Academy this morning (15th September).

Police say it was part of a national campaign targeting drivers not using seatbelts.

The headteacher of the school welcomed the actions of the police, saying:

The teenager has been reported for driving without a licence and insurance. His father has been reported for allowing his son to drive with no licence and insurance.
