Child rapist jailed for six years
A child rapist is today starting a six-year jail term after he was found guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl.
Lea Dean was sentenced after a jury found him guilty of one charge of rape.
The 26-year-old had previously admitted four counts of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.
The defendant, of Parton Grove, Weston Coyney, was convicted at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court following an investigation by Staffordshire Police’s Child Exploitation Team.
DC Andy Hayes, of the Child Exploitation Team, said:
Dean was arrested and charged with all offences in December 2016.
