Yellow water might run out of your tap next time you turn it on
Residents have been warned about a dip in water quality over the coming weeks after they complained about yellow water coming out of their taps.
Severn Trent have said the discolouration is down to work to improve water supply.
One homeowner, in Hollybank Road, Kings Heath, who had a sink full of discoloured water, said it took 40 minutes to run clear.
Severn Trent said the work will last for around five weeks in Moseley and Kings Heath, Birmingham.
A spokesperson for Severn Trent said the discolouration was due to changes to water flow bringing up some sediment. The firm said there was "no reason to believe" there was any risk to health as a result.
Severn Trent said in a statement to customers:
The issue was only expected to affect the B13 and B14 areas.
