Footage has emerged of a busy Birmingham road covered in waste, that was due to be collected last week.
Shot in the Winson Green area, rubbish and broken glass can been seen on the road as drivers dodge bin bags.
A bin collection crisis started in June when refuse workers began strike action after Birmingham City Council announced changes to pay and working conditions.
But, they put their industrial action on hold last Wednesday after talks between arbitration service ACAS and the union Unite. The council are set to make a decision on 1 September.
Birmingham City Council said efforts were made to collect waste from Winson Green, in the Soho ward:
In the footage, tin cans, plastic and other rubbish is seen covering the junction.
A woman can be heard shouting "be careful" to a passer-by who was crossing the road. The video was recorded yesterday.
Birmingham City Council also said:
The road has since been cleared.
