CCTV captures Birmingham machete brawl

CCTV has caught the moment a fight broke out by gang members wielding machetes and baseball bats in a Birmingham street in the middle of the day.

The confrontation broke out in Mackenzie Road, Sparkhill at around 4pm on Sunday afternoon.

The footage captured the moment two men were chased down the road as both they and their pursuers waved weapons including machetes.

The men can be seen pouring out of a drive at a home in the road before one man tries to escape on a motorcycle which he desperately tries to start.

The man and his accomplice are then chased up the road by a gang of other men.

Both sides can be seen wielding machetes and threatening each other.One neighbour, who didn’t want to be named, said the fight involved two black men and several Asian men. He said:
