Legendary entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth has died
Legendary entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth has died at the age of 89. Here is a Midlands tribute to Brucie from ITV News Central.
Many famous faces from the Midlands have been paying tribute to Sir Bruce, including Tess Daly from New Mills in Derbyshire. She was his co-host on Strictly Come Dancing for 10 years between 2004 and 2014.
Ron Cooper was the bandleader at Derby's 'Talk of the Midlands' venue.
When Bruce performed there Ron brought his own father in to play trombone because, he says, Bruce wanted the best.
"He was a hard taskmaster and that's why he was as good as he was." says Ron. "Total dedication the likes of we might not see again . R.I.P. Bruce."
