Rain fails to dampen spirits of carnival-goers

Leicester's annual Caribbean Carnival has welcomed visitors from around the world this afternoon.

Rain failed to dampen spirits as organisers say tens of thousands of people are thought to have attended the Victoria Park event, which finished with a parade around the city centre.

The event first began back in 1985.
