Man shot by armed police

A man has been shot by armed police officers in Frankley in Birmingham.

The incident happened at around 9pm last night (26th July) in Hereford Close.

The man was taken to hospital and his condition is not known. Another man was arrested for suspected firearms offences.

The incident has been reported to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

In a statement, West Midlands Police, said

A cordon remains in place at the scene.
