More officers to be armed with Tasers to 'keep public safe'
An East Midland police force is training more officers in the use of Taser.
Lincolnshire Police says the drive will help resolve incidents quicker while helping to keep the public and its officers safe.
A large number of officers are already trained but this month further officers will undergo the 'rigorous' training with an initial course of four days, covering the law around how Tasers can be used, decision making, human rights that may be engaged and the considerations required for any use of Taser.
Officers are tested every year after their initial training.
