Bin lorry in minibus crash owned by Birmingham City Council

Birmingham City Council have confirmed that a bin lorry involved in a fatal crash this morning (July 7th) was part of their waste management fleet.

A 14-year-old girl was killed when a minibus carrying year 9 and year 12 school children from John Taylor High School in Burton-upon-Trent collided with a bin lorry on the A38 Kingsbury Road in Castle Vale in Birmingham.

Another girl was injured and taken to hospital and 19 children were assessed by paramedics and discharged.
