16-year-old charged over fatal stabbing

Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Birmingham have charged a 16-year-old with murder.

The teenage male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Monday night following a disorder in Woodgate Gardens in Bartley Green at around 10.50pm.

Local man Alexander Phillip Leonard who was 22, died following the incident, a post mortem examination later stated his cause of death as being the result of a single stab wound.
