Drug smuggler trafficked cocaine to criminals across UK
A drug smuggler who trafficked cocaine to criminal groups across the country has been jailed.
Adrini Kuqi was caught with a quantity cocaine in the back of his BMW after police stopped him on the M42, south of Birmingham, in November last year.
Officers later searched Kuqi’s home address and found a replica automatic handgun, three further one kg packages of cocaine in a laptop case and a quarter of a kg of cocaine in his fuse box cupboard, along with cash worth over £16,000
The drugs in the car and the house, which were similarly packaged, had a street value of an estimated £1.2million.
31-year-old Kuqi was jailed for ten years, along with a concurrent one-year prison sentence for money laundering, at Birmingham Crown Court this week.
The sentence follows an investigation by the National Crime Agency.
