Around 100,000 people are expected to attend Europe's largest Eid celebration which is taking place this morning in Birmingham.

Crowds are gathering from 9am at Small Heath Park, where prayers and sermons will take place, before a day of activities around the park.

The celebration is in its 7th year, since it first began in 2011. Last year's event saw more almost 90,000 take part - and today that number is expected to rise.

Eid al-Fitr is the important religious holiday at the end of the Islamic holy month of fasting, Ramadan.
