The event organisers had arranged designated car parking areas for visitors which had clear signage and Marshals instructing motorists to the entry and exit points.

Wiggin attended the event, joining a long queue of other vehicles as he left the site however decided to bypass the traffic on leaving the car park, exiting via the entry point.

The victim spotted the defendant's car being driven above the 5mph speed limit and approached the vehicle. Wiggin continued to drive his car which struck the victim's legs.

The victim then stood in front of the defendant's vehicle in order to stop him from going any further however, Wiggin continued to drive forward which resulted in the victim ending up on the car's bonnet.

Wiggin was eventually stopped by other Marshals who had locked the entry gates to prevent him from leaving. The police were called and Wiggin was arrested.
