Armed police on streets of Birmingham in major response
Armed police were on the streets of Birmingham on Wednesday night. Pictures taken in Frankley showed a number of officers carrying weapons.
Several police cars were at the scene at around 8.30pm. West Midlands Police could not immediately say why the officers were in Frankley.
There were no reports of any shots having been fired.
The B31 Voices community Facebook page said it was aware of "police incidents" in the Ringwood Drive, Frogmill Road and Coriander Close areas of Frankley.
