Dan Evans has picked up a calf injury whilst playing Dustin Brown in the quarter-finals of the Aegon Surbiton Trophy.

The British number 4 was leading 6-3 4-2 before limping off after returning a serve from Brown.

Evans, born in Solihull, left the court with his leg heavily strapped.

He said:

The 27-year-old is set to have a scan on Monday 12 June 2017 which will reveal the extent of his injury.

Evans is supposed to be playing in a Challenger Event in Nottingham next week before the Wimbledon build-up tournaments at Queen's Club and Eastbourne.

Evans will be hoping for good news as Wimbledon begins in only three weeks.
