The RSPCA have launched an investigation after a cat was shot with a pellet, fracturing her rib.

Two-year-old Meg was targeted sometime between 8.30pm and 10pm on Monday 22 May and would have been near her home in Mayfield Road, Earlsdon.

Meg fractured a rib, ruptured her diaphragm and bruised her lung as a result of the shooting.

It comes just weeks after another cat had to have a leg amputated after being shot on the next street along in Coventry.

They were shot near to their home on Stanway Road on 12 April.
