Plea to help pay for funeral of baby who died in mum’s arms
A fundraising appeal has been launched to help pay for the funeral of a baby who died in the arms of her mother.
Kassadie-Maria Conway was born on January 3 with severe heart complications. She was 20 weeks old when she died.
In February, she underwent an operation at Birmingham Children’s Hospital to insert a stent in her heart.
Initially, she had responded well to the operation, but last month she suddenly deteriorated and 17-year-old mum Clare Conway, from Coventry, rushed her to hospital on May 22:
Now, friend Lauren Bullingham has set up a Go Fund Me page on behalf of the family to help with the costs of baby Kassadie’s funeral.
Clare has chosen a special coffin for her daughter, which is decorated with princesses, and is asking everyone in attendance to wear pink at the service on June 15.
