Ancient shoes expected to get worldwide interest at auction
An ancient pair of shoes from the time of King William and Queen Mary of England have been uncovered in the attic of a Nottinghamshire home.
Commentating on the shoes dating from around 1690, Charles Hanson - manager of Hansons Auctioneers believes they would have been worn by a "young and quite well-off child".
He said:
The ancient shoes are expected to get worldwide interest when they go up for auction in Derbyshire on 1 June at 10.30am.
