House collapses after car crashes into wall

A house collapsed after a car crashed into it while the residents were sleeping upstairs.

Emergency services were called to Stoneleigh Road, Aston, at 3.30am this morning and worked for more than three hours to secure the building.

Fire crews from Aston Fire Station and the special Technical Rescue team removed the damaged brick work and inserted a timber frame to support the shattered wall.
