Margaret Thatcher statue planning application for Parliament Square

An application has been made to Westminster City Council for the installation of a stone plinth and memorial statue to Margaret Thatcher.

It would be located on the west side of Parliament Square on Canning Green between the statues of George Canning and Abraham Lincoln.

The plinth is of polished stone and the statue would be bronze.

Photos submitted with the planning application show that Baroness Thatcher would be depicted in full Order of the Garter regalia.
