Drayton Manor to remain closed for third day

Drayton Manor theme park in Staffordshire will remain closed for a third day while an investigation in to the death of an 11-year-old school girl is underway.

Evha Jannath from Leicester died after falling into the water while on the Splash Canyon ride during a school trip on Tuesday. A post mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.

Her family have said their world has been "torn apart" by the loss of their "beautiful little girl who was full of love and always smiling."

Her parents said they were "devastated" at what had happened and words "cannot describe the pain and loss" they felt.

Evha's family also requested that the ride is suspended until the inquiry has concluded and the "full facts" are established.
