A model who defied a serious illness has had 400 job applications rejected.

Tiffany Hill, from Castle Vale, Birmingham, took part in the Miss Birmingham finals last year wearing a colostomy bag - but now cannot get a job.

She said she has been invited to just five interviews after quitting her sales assistant job to look for office work.

The 22-year-old was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when she was 16, a condition that left her in constant pain.

She was awarded the 'Miss Publicity' title at last year's Miss Birmingham pageant, despite battling severe bowel disease at the time.
