Local elections: Gloucestershire - Conservative gain
Conservatives have won overall control of Gloucestershire County Council with 31 out of 48 seats.

Pete Bungard, returning officer and chief executive of Gloucestershire County Council, said:
Turnout was higher than the previous election in 2013 – 37.04% in comparison to 31.79% four years ago.
Of the 477,534 people eligible to vote in the election, 176,856 people did so.
