Dusty the Beagle invaded the pitch for seven minutes

A dog which halted a league football match with a seven minute pitch invasion has gone back to school.

Dusty the Beagle stopped the game between Halesowen Town FC and Skelmersdale United when he ran onto the pitch in the 25th minute.

Stewards, players and officials couldn’t catch Dusty until owner Asa Charlton tackled the dog.

Asa, who is a defender for Halesowen, is now sending Dusty to the Dogs Trust Dog School in Kenilworth after a video of the incident went viral.

Asa, who is 38, said:

Dogs Trust Dog School trainer Jennifer Protheroe said the training will help Asa bond with Dusty and improve his basic recall skills.
