Staff at Coventry garage say 'Ferrari' sign isn't for sale
Staff at Brandon Motors, Coventry, say that Ferrari enthusiasts regularly ask them if they can buy the distinctive Ferrari sign on the side of the building. But staff say that the piece of history is not for sale.
The sign dates back to the 1970s and 1980s when the garage was an official Ferrari dealer.
The garage sold a handful of the top price cars each year, including the iconic Ferrari Testarossa, which dominated the luxury car market in the 1980s.
By the 1990s, the agreement with Ferrari had ended and the garage in Rugby Road was no longer an official dealer. It’s still under the same ownership but concentrates on general servicing and MOTs.
The nearest Ferrari dealer to Coventry is now Greypaul Ferraris in Shirley, a large operation part of a chain in contrast to the independently owned Brandon Motors.
