Fatal stabbing at tram stop happened "near rush hour"

Detectives are continuing their enquiries into a murder investigation after a man with stab wounds was found at a tram stop.

The man was discovered at Soho Benson Road tram stop in Winson Green yesterday (Friday 31 March).

Officers now believe the man was stabbed on the footpath leading away from the tram stop.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Langley said:

Anyone who was travelling on the trams or who may have been in the surrounding area at the time is urged to contact British Transport Police if they have information.
