Thousands of people have been celebrating this weekend at the St Patrick's Day parade in Leicester and the Indian festival of Holi.

Also known as the Festival of Colours, Holi is a major event in the Hindu calendar.

It's celebrated across the world by splashing paint on those participating and lighting bonfires.

The day has been shared by St Patrick's Day celebrations with a string of Irish street parties.

The official holiday lands annually on March 17th but celebrations are being held this weekend.
