Fire crews tackle blaze at barn in Staffordshire

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service have been tackling a barn fire near Great Bridgeford, where 250 bales of hay were alight.

They were called at around at around 4:06am today (9 March) to the barn, which is located in a field off the B5405 near Ladfordfields Industrial Park.

One fire engine from Stafford remains at the scene while the hay burns out, they will then work to dampen down the hay and ensure the fire is fully extinguished.

At this stage the cause of the fire is not known.
