The son of a terror attack victim from Tamworth has confirmed he will not join other families in their bid for compensation from the tour operator TUI.

It follows an inquest into the deaths of the 30 Britons killed in the 2015 Tunisia attack which passed a verdict of unlawful killing.

Conor Fulford says that he and his family will not be part of the claim because they feel it is "wrong, unjustified and pointless," he added:

Sue Davey and her partner Scott Chalkey were on holiday in Tunisia when gunman Seifeddine Rezgui opened fire, not stopping until 38 lay dead on the beach and at the five-star Riu Imperial Marhaba Hotel in Sousse.

Conor, 23, from Staffordshire, was in America teaching football when the news broke. He was informed of the couple’s death hours after launching a social media campaign to find them.

Conor agrees that change must be brought about to safeguard others, but not through civil action:

Conor said he was happy that the inquest was over but felt disillusioned by the process, and the way it had been handled.
