Five Questions - David Furness (BNP)
David Furness from the BNP answers five questions ahead of the Stoke Central by-election.
1. Who do you most admire? The person I most admire right now is Donald Trump. He defied the onslaught from the media; he kept going despite the odds, and he eventually won. His critics told him that he had no chance, but he proved them all wrong.
2. Where's your favourite place in Stoke-on-Trent and why?My favourite place in Stoke is the Stoke City Football Ground.
The atmosphere inside the stadium is great. I do like watching a good game of football; the game's about passion and emotion, from elation to heartbreak!
3. What will be your top priority if you win the by-election?If I win the by-election in Stoke Central, I will contact all constituents and say to them "Tell me your problems because I'm listening".
4. What is your favourite TV programme? My favourite TV programme is Heartbeat. Set in the 1960s North Riding of Yorkshire, Heartbeat ran for 18 years (1992 to 2010). This British drama series had good stories and acting; today's TV output is full of political correctness.
5. What is your favourite song?My favourite song is You'll Never Walk Alone. Originally from the Rodgers and Hammerstein 1945 musical Carousel, the lyrics still speak for us today because it's a song of survival, hope, and resilience.
