Jury retires in case of Satnam Singh

The jury have retired to consider their verdict in the trial of Sukhraj Singh Atwal.

The 29 year old from Derby denies murdering his former step grandfather 74 year old Satnam Singh from Pear Tree in Derby.

Father of three, Satnam was found on the junction of Princes Street and Coronation Street, Rosehill at around 4.50am on Thursday, July 23, 2015.

He was taken to Royal Derby Hospital, where he later died.

A post mortem revealed that he had suffered head and chest injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
