New Armed Forces Breakfast Club launches in Charnwood

A new breakfast club for serving and former members of the Armed Forces has been launched today in Charnwood.

The Charnwood Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club met for the first time today at the Toby Carvery in Loughborough. They will meet on the second Saturday of every month.

The club has been organised by Victoria Coomber and backed by Charnwood Borough Council’s Armed Forces Community Covenant.

Victoria’s husband Dai served in the Royal Signals for more than 20 years before his death in 2011 after a short battle with Burkitts Lymphoma.

Victoria told us that she organised the club to give serving or former army members the chance to come together with those who have had similar experiences and share a common bond.
