A ten-month-old baby who received life saving surgery in Leicester was among those at Downing Street today to hand in a petition to save children's heart services at Glenfield Hospital.

Elijah Whitehouse was born with two holes in his heart, but was saved by surgery at the children's heart unit.

A petition signed by almost 130,000 people was delivered to Downing Street today, with Leicester West MP Liz Kendall among those attending.

His mother Jess told ITV News Central what the children's heart centre had done for her and Elijah - and why it was so crucial for it to stay open.
