New JCB engines create 50 jobs at East Midlands factory
Factory workers and managers have unveiled their new JCB430 Dieselmax engine at their factory on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border.
The engine will start rolling off the new production line after a £31 million investment at the company's plant near Foston.
The new engine production line has created 50 new jobs at the factory with a further 350 to follow by 2022 across JCB's UK operations.
One of the 50 new posts created is for Sam Grief from Willington in Derbyshire.
After a three year apprenticeship he's now secured a full time job with the company. He will be involved in the testing and development of the new engine.
