Crews to stay at fire 'through the night' as roof collapses
Crews are expected to stay at the site of a major fire in Stoke-on-Trent throughout the night, according to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service.
More than 50 firefighters have been involved in fighting the blaze today at a recycling plant in Milton.
Multiple vehicles were sent to the scene including six fire engines, sent from Hanley, Sandyford, Leek, and Newcastle. A control vehicle from Stone, an aerial ladder platform from Longton and the high volume pump from Rugeley were also dispatched.
Due to the large plumes of smoke being created by the incident local residents have been advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure.
