Police urge people to be vigilant after reports of 'serial hugger'
Police are warning people to be 'vigilant' after reports of a man in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham trying to hug women at random.
Selly Oak Police tweeted that there had been several reports about women who had complained of unwanted physical contact this week.
Home to much of the student population from the University of Birmingham, community wardens are advising people to walk in groups.
Both police and the wardens say anyone who feels threatened should call 999 or report an incident on 101.
