People have until midnight to sign an online petition to save the children's heart surgery at Glenfield hospital in Leicester.

So far, nearly 120,000 people have either signed the online government petition, or put their names on a paper copy.

Last summer NHS England said the surgery should stop, because the unit is unlikely to meet new standards being introduced.

The Hospital Trust though says it's invested and is on the way to achieving those standards.

ITV News Central has been to speak to Steve Scores' 15-year-old son Jamie, who was treated at the unit last October.

He was born with a hole in his heart and has now fully recovered.
