Residents concerns over parking at Gedling Country Park

Residents in Gedling have described the current parking situation outside the Country Park as 'an accident waiting to happen'

The road along the entrance to the park has become something of a car-park as the sites growing popularity has seen an increase in the numbers of people needing to find a space to leave their vehicles.

As a result, local residents say many day-trippers and park users are now parking anywhere within the vicinity once the car park have overflowed, leaving muddy grass verges and reducing the visibility of oncoming traffic for road users.

Gedling Borough Council say extra car parking spaces will be provided at the site to accommodate the increased interest, but that is unlikely to be before summer.
