Sir Jack Hayward statue to be unveiled this year
Wolverhampton Wanderers say their statue of Sir Jack Hayward, is set to be officially unveiled at some point during the summer.
The project to honour the club’s former Chairman and President was commissioned a year ago.
The location could be in the area between the Sir Jack Hayward and Steve Bull Stands or close to the subway entrance by the Ring Road.
Wolves have been working closely with the City of Wolverhampton Council on the project.
They say the statue will provide a fitting and lasting memorial to a man who was a much-loved figure both at the football club and across the city.
After his passing two years ago, Wolves fans joined in an emotional tribute at a home game before the city came to a standstill as thousands lined the streets for his memorial service .
